SRQ MEMBERSHIP MEETING MINUTES
 
October 24th, 2018
  • The meeting at the Twin Lakes County facility was called to order at 7:05 PM by President DeRoy

  • President DeRoy’s report:

    • Both mowers have been serviced and are operational.

    • Thanks to the following for grounds and maintenance work:

      • Lou Magiliano

      • Mike Pass

      • Joe Fast

      • Mike Cameron

      • Paul Jantzen

      • Dave Hasler

    • Fall/Winter membership is growing: currently 200, with thirteen new members.

    • Officer and board nominations to be held at the November membership meeting.

  • VP Sundheimers Report:

    • A call for program ideas.

    • Secretary Hasler suggested using You-tube videos which were subsequently used at the meeting.

  • Treasurer Dennis’ report:

    • The financial report was read and accepted without comment or objection.

  • Secretary Hasler’s Report:

    • The September membership meeting and October board meeting minutes were accepted without comment or objection.

  • New and old business:

    • Warbird event is scheduled for Dec 8.

    • Static warbird display at the Friendship Center is scheduled for November 12 & 13.

    •  An additional insurance payment, probably about 2K, is expected to be forthcoming from the insurance company

SRQ BOARD MEETING MINUTES
 
October 3rd, 2017
  • Call to order at 6PM.

  • Members present:

    • Martin DeRoy

    • Steve Sundheimer

    • DaveHasler

    • Keith Dennis

    • Lou Magliano

    • Mike Cameron

  • Treasurers Report:

  • The September Gator report was delivered by Treasurer Dennis and accepted without revision.

  • September BOD and Membership Meeting:

    • The minutes were prepared by President DeRoy in Secretary Hasler’s absence.

    • They were accepted without revision.

  • Old Business:

  • A flyer has been prepared for the Dec. 8 Warbirds event and will be added to the club web site.

  • Full Belly Burgers will sell food from 11am to 1pm at the Warbird event.

  • Nick Ziroli will have a slide show prepared for the October membership meeting.

  • A revised claim report is required by the insurance company concerning our hurricane damaged cameras.

  • Club membership is now 200.

  • New Business:

  • Various proposals were discussed in order to increase club membership, however no motions were made at this meeting.

  • Mike Cameron proposed that the club should once again participate in the Friendship Center Veterans Event by bringing scale warbirds for static display. VP Sundheimer commented that participation would also be advantageous to the club regarding our county contract obligations. All members were in agreement.

  • Meeting adjourned at 7:12 pm.
