SRQ MEMBERSHIP MEETING MINUTES
 
March 22nd, 2017
  • President Sundheimer called the meeting to order at 7:05 pm.

    • 20 members were in attendance.

    • Joe Fast led the Pledge of Allegiance.

    • President Sundheimer asked for officer and committee reports:

    • Without objections or changes, the secretary’s minutes from March BOD and membership meetings were accepted.

    • Treasurer Keith Dennis delivered the February financials. Accepted as read.

    • Sundheimer made mention of Ken Shockey’s maintenance accomplishments and his recruiting of volunteers.

  • No new issues with safety

  • New and Old Business:

    • Members were reminded of the club picnic this weekend, Saturday, March 25.

    • Members were asked to help at the 4/29-30 airfare.

    • The attending members voted on the 2016 Member of the Year. Winner will be announced at April membership meeting.

  • The program was two videos.

    • Dubai wing gliders and ½ scale RC jet.

  • Martin & Kathy DeRoy won the raffle of a RC airplane work bench.

  • The meeting was adjourned at 7:55 pm

  • President Sundheimer called the meeting to order at 6:00pm

    • Absent: Al Miller and Dave Hasler

  • Treasurer’s Report:

    • February financials accepted as presented

  • Secretary’s Report:

    • February Member Meeting minutes accepted as presented

  • Committee Reports:

    • Maintenance:

      • Need to purchase insecticide

      • 5 gal of weed killer on hand

      • Ken to purchase lumber to rehang info sign on ops building

      • Mowers are due back Wednesday from service

      • Tables will be repaired

    • Picnic and Air Fare maintenance:

      • Edge runway and sidewalks, signage/tape off area to keep autos off tall grass

    • Gate sign:

      • Remove/cover Dick Bobb’s name/phone number

  • Membership

    • 225 members

    • Board reminded to contact past members to activate 2017 membership

    • Safety Letter sent to member(s) violating club and county rules of the field

      • Training:

        • Four (4) currently

  • Old Business:

    • John Hall continues to need volunteers to help with the April 29-30 Air Fare

  • New Business:

    • March Member Meeting:

      • Vote for Member of the Year. Past recipients are eligible

      • Dave Carter was given permission to taxi test his F86 jet. Not permitted to lift off.

  • Issue:

    • Dogs at the field was revisited.

  • The meeting was adjourned at 7:10
